Lessons from her family life permeate this book, and these relationships remain the most central, enduring, and joyful core of her life. Carrie is also sustained by her faith, which is the anchoring foundation for her life and work. The material in this book was presented first in a religious context, as "Christ-Centered Healing from Depression." Repurposed later for a more inclusive audience, this material continues to reflect that "light which shineth in darkness." Years of experience truly affirm: "Weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning."
