The Yin Chih Wen is a book of traditional Chinese morality. It is a series of maxims with commentaries by Chinese scholars. This 1906 edition, translated by Teitaro Suzuki and Dr. Paul Carus, also includes translator’s notes and commentary from a early-twentieth-century Western perspective.

The 2011 digital edition includes the entire text of the 1906 Suzuki-Carus book. It also includes facsimiles of the two illustrations included in the original book. The original page numbers have been preserved and are in curly brackets in the right margin. The table of contents, footnotes, endnotes, and index are all hyperlinked to the body of the book
