Overview

AMERICAN DEPTH:
Give me new eyes that do not grow tired, A new tongue that will not deceive, New hands that will do no wrong whatsoever, A new mind that doesn't need to believe; For I am destitute in a land of longsuffering. I use blood in my pen for ink, If only I could find some peace in my religion, I may find a moment where I don't have to think. Give me a new wall that's made for climbing; A new climb whose end won't shut me in; A new closure where all things begin anew; A new beginning that won't let me sin. For I am hurting in a land without forgiveness. I cry tears from sweltering pain. If your time only allowed my roots to reveal themselves, Your fears would confirm who is to blame. Give me some sign that says you understand; Some nod that says it's okay; A glare or a stroke to correct our past; A silence that says you won't go away. For I am sane in a land of insanity. I think organized chaos is mud-muddled, filtered rain. If I could stop using tears to drink my water, I may have room to rest and dream. If ever I've found enough grace for you to hear me, Won't you please stay to finish this song, And we can write a verse in tribute of your Love, Instead of me singing this alone.

ESCAPISM is Broken!
Here is Self-Help disguised as Historical Fiction; a Novel pretending to be a Play; Poetry masquerading as Prose; and the American Heartbeat taking aim at Our American Heartbreak. Here is our medicine. Let's take this pill together. 1, 2, 3! I implore you! Let's have this conversation. Now and Later! Use my words before your next VOTE. Find help in your world: with politics, social media, socializing, isolation, raising kids, and in significant relationships. Here is a timely work that will transcend its relevance to our present day and country. Before any BETRAYAL there is THINKING versus FEELING. Argument is the impassioned friction between these TWINS. Before your next bout read this book, and hopefully, share a LAUGH!

About the Author

VHYHN QWYHX VHYRZ is a father of two spirited and courageous children. He loves watching them be themselves. VQV enjoys writing poetry, reading philosophical texts, watching philosophical texts come to life, listening to music, and pondering all things natural, celestial, and Heavenly. VQV rests each night, under the stars, believing that in some alternate reality of now, another VQV is a truck driver, with adult children, enjoying the solitude of the open road, in a truck, with a Scottish Terrier, or a Beagle. Our VQV has two cats.

How do you pronounce VQV? It's easy... Vee Que Vee. How do you pronounce VHYHN QWYHX VHYRZ? Two ways, both phonetic, sort of: First, Vin Qw'ex Verz or Vin Qw'ix Verz. Both of these, first ways, are with normal rest stops between the words. The second way, is with a faster speech pattern, that blends the three words together, to make a three-note blended sound, to form two normal words: VANQUISHED VERSE. This is the type of writing I attempt to achieve.

The letter Y is a unique letter in English, particularly in American English. Using 'Y' to substitute for the letter 'i,' or 'u,' by virtue of modern usage of 'u', makes sense to me. However, by speaking faster, I believe 'Y' can also substitute for the letter 'e,' or the letter 'a,' although one of these may be a stretch. Check your local Linguist! I believe 'Y' substitution may also be possible for the vowel 'o,' if used in the context of a double or triple 'Y,' whereat least one 'Y' is used as the letter 'i' or 'a' or 'e.' Would I be a LIAR by claiming LIAR can be spelled, LYYAR, LYYER, LYUR, LYER, LYYR, LYYOR, LYYUR, LYYIR, or LYYYR? This is going a bit too far, but what about LYYOUR or LYYOYR, as in, one claiming to be 'YOUR LIAR?' Language is fun. It can be whatever we want, though it's use is based on what we need it to be. THINKING is the same! Oddly..., and watch out passive-speech haters: Oddly, without it mattering what we want, our experience does not lie, even when it is a lie!
