Overview

(3RD IN FORSYTE SAGA) The Forsyte Saga Continues . . .

Written by a Nobel Laureate, this epic sweeps from the 1880s through the 1920s, recounting the lives and loves of an upper-middle-class English family, the Forsytes. Tied to the waning values of Victorianism, this privileged clan is shaken to its core when the First World War shatters the English social order. Chronicling the brave new world into which the family is thrown, Galsworthy's tale brings to life an unforgettable cast of characters: Soames Forsyte, the rigid family patriarch; Irene, his beautiful, seductive wife; Cousin Jolyon, an artist committed to freedom and creativity; and a host of other meticulously crafted figures.
