Serpent-worship is found in many ancient cultures. This book, which brings together the works of three authors, explores in detail the nature, significance, rites, and mysteries of that worship, ranging from Europe and Africa to the Far East and the Americas. The three works included are: "Ophiolatreia", by Anonymous; "The Worship of the Serpent", by John Bathurst Deane; and "Serpent-Myths and Serpent-Worship", by Roswell Park. The text of the first in particular has been revised from the original print-publication, which left much to be desired in the way of corrections, and now constitutes perhaps the cleanest copy in print or pixel that can be found of this work.
