Culled from the archives of "A Prairie Home Companion," these vignettes about cowboys, urbane and not, are mostly entertaining and funny. Keillor and company have wonderful radio voices that translate well to CD, and their comedic timing is impeccable. Tim Russell has an especially deep, rich tone that carries many of the sketches. Sue Scott plays all of the women's roles, for which she twists her resonant voice into a number of characters and situations. Keillor is himself all of the time, never wavering from the soft, knowing tone that has made him famous. This production has recurring jokes, some scatological humor, and enough puns and wordplay to keep any fan happy for its duration. R.I.G. © AudioFile 2006, Portland, Maine
