About the Author

Kent brings over three decades of experience managing rental properties, a journey of unforgettable encounters with eccentric tenants and unpredictable situations.
Growing up as an orphan, he reunited with his mother at 21, his father having tragically murdered in East St. Louis, Illinois, for $23.64. Raised by his grandparents and extended family in a tight-knit community of merchants and farmers in rural southern Illinois, Kent's upbringing instilled in him values of hard work and perseverance.
After leaving the comfort of his hometown at 18, Kent pursued higher education at Western Illinois University for two years and Southern Illinois University for a year, only to drop out and discover a spiritual awakening while tending to fields along Highway 127. For the subsequent 14 years, Kent's journey led him to follow a path guided by Jesus.
Armed with a newfound purpose, Kent embarked on a career in real estate, obtaining his license and immersing himself in the world of property management. Through his experiences, Kent has amassed a wealth of stories that reflect the highs and lows of navigating the complexities of rental properties and the human condition.
